- I have a varied background, having worked as a journalist, self-employed writer/researcher, election observer, director of a womens' organization, community mobilization and development specialist, and now as a researcher in human security and peacebuilding. My particular interest is how "islands of achievement" in failed states can become the basis for peacebuilding in the larger state. Impact of "micro-philanthropy" on conventional development aid
I am interested in hearing from anyone who has done some reflecting on how developments in micro-philanthropy, especially in terms of how it links people and groups individually to support projects or activities, might affect the structure of conventional international development aid.
