Social Actions Picks Up Two Prizes at the NetSquared Conference

Excited in San Jose: Here's a quick note to say that Social Actions -- A Mashup of 29+ Social Action Platforms picked up two prizes at the NetSquared Conference. We won the DonateNow Challenge and came in 3rd Place in the Mashup Challenge. The two prizes amount to $20,000 for Social Actions to build out our search interface and open API of actionable opportunities. Thank you to the NetSquared Community for your support of what we're doing!

Congratulations to all of the featured projects, including the KnowMore.org Firefox Extension - Get Alerts of Corporate Abuses Whe... (2nd place) and Ushahidi: Mapping Reports of Post-Election Violence in Kenya (1st place). I'm looking forward to future collaborations with the inspiring people and projects I met at the conference. The winners of this year's mashup challenge were decided by conference attendees through voting.

Below is the final rehearsal of the skit that Christine Egger and I presented at the opening session yesterday.

You did a totally great job Peter at N2, thanks for the major contributions your making to the social actions space -- as a learner, listener, collaborator, coalescer, and speaker, and hey, congrats for getting recognized for it -- it is kudos well-placed.
